Official Licensees order CLPA hangtags and labels through the program manager, Octane5 INTERNATIONAL, with secured ordering via BrandComply.com. CLPA hangtags and labels are available in three forms:
- Mini Label
- 1″ Sticker Label
- Hangtag

The relevant CLPA hangtag or label (Mini Label, 1″ Sticker Label, or Hangtag) is attached to the licensed product to authenticate it.

The Collegiate Licensed Properties Association (CLPA) is a non-profit organization founded to represent and support colleges and universities who independently manage their own licensing programs and the proper use of their logos and trademarks. Together, these colleges and universities created the CLPA Authentication Program, to help to protect university brands from the production and sale of counterfeit merchandise. CLPA hangtags and labels on participating universities and special properties licensed products provides alumni and fans the assurance and confidence that they are purchasing officially licensed products that benefit their respective university.

FAQS
The security hang tags are $56.50 per box of 1,000 hang tags. The security labels are $210.00 per roll of 6,000 or $70.00 per roll of 2,000 labels.
CLPA hangtags and labels are available in three sizes:
* The Mini Label 0.532” x 0.562” (available in bulk quantities at 6000/roll or 2000/roll)
* 1” Label 1.0” x 1.0” (available in bulk quantities at 6000/roll or 2000/roll)
* Hangtag 2.0” x4.0” ( only available in 1000/box quantity)
CLPA hangtags and labels work in two unique ways:
A. All products utilize a QR code that when scanned, will link consumers to the new authentication site. Once at the site, they register their product using the unique trace numbering code.
B. The Hangtag is produced on heavy grade coated paper, Printed on both sides. The hole in the tag is Shield shaped and one corner of the tag is radiused. These are overt security features. The rear of the tag features a wallpaper background of the CLPA logo in a single color, overprinted with the licensed product legal lines and logo in Red and Blue. The front features a red top with the CLPA logo in Color and a knockout of the “Collegiate Licensed Product”. Below it is the instructions to scan the printed QR code which leads to the opportunity to win prizes. Sitting aside the QR code is the Visually intriguing multidimensional CLPA Micro-optic with various security features.
Online ordering through BrandComply.com is the only way to place your order. All orders will ship on a prepaid basis. When placing an order, please order only those hang tags or labels which you will use 12 months or less to better allow us to monitor usage and for longevity of the sticker adhesive. Please note you must be an approved licensee of a member CLPA institution to be able to order CLPA security products.
Shipping is not included in the price of the security products. Octane5 works with FedEx, UPS and DHL. If you do not have an account with a shipper, Octane5 will use FedEx to ship your tags and labels. The shipping cost will be added to your invoice. If you have an account with DHL, FedEx or UPS, you will have the ability to choose that courier and enter the account number during the online ordering process. Your invoice from Octane5 will then reflect only the cost of the security products ordered.
No, you’re already receiving a volume discount. Octane5 has worked with the licensor to create pricing based on estimated annual volume of all licensees. Therefore, the pricing already takes into account the purchases you (and your fellow licensees) will make through the year.
Yes. Please note that all shipping addresses are verified through the respective member institutions of the CLPA to ensure they are approved manufacturing locations. Adding non-verified addresses will delay your order.
No, only the licensee may place orders. However, licensees can arrange to have Octane5 ship directly to authorized factories.
Overseas shipments are permitted as long as the desired location has been verified and approved by the respective member institutions of the CLPA.
Yes, the security products should be stored in a secure area to prevent unauthorized use. As the licensee, you will be accountable for any missing security products. The storage area should be out of direct sunlight, below 65% humidity and have a temperature between 15°C (49°F) and 40°C (104°F).
